    A unique mash-up of crowd funding and concert ticketing, Dukits™ is looking to become the next big thing in music by having fans express demand in shows prior to going live. It is better for the bands as they travel to locations where they are in demand, while it is better for the fans as they are always guaranteed a vibrant crowd and an awesome event.

    As a new platform, Dukits came to Spark Boutik looking for assistance in promoting the concept through targeted niche communities in the digital world.

    Engagement:
    • Develop social strategies to guide contesting, content marketing, and ads. Choosing to showcase the ‘crowd-sourcing’ elements, the “It’s Better with a Crowd” contest was born. Called upon concert-goers to upload their all-time favourite event images and share how their experience was better with a crowd.
    • Custom design Twitter page and Facebook Fan Gate to included elements of data-mining, file submission, and share functionality.
    • Manage Facebook Ads through demographics targeted by music genre interests, event interests and purchasing platforms.

    HashTip.com was built to help solve this problem. The platform makes it possible for the user to gathers tips from trusted sources and sorts them into relevant categories. HashTip makes the process of sharing tips and information more organized, accessible and social.

    The unique technology allows the user you send tips to HashTip from their Twitter or Facebook accounts, simply by adding “#tip”. Additionally HashTip can mirror friends’ network on Facebook so that users don’t have to
    recreate another social network.

    • Analyze various segments to introduce the platform and facilitate partnerships with vendors for launch.

    Spark Boutik was engaged to help bring Sportball Quebec into the digital space. With offline marketing programs in place, Sportball Quebec had not yet embarked on anything related to social media or digital marketing. Spark Boutik worked with the leadership team to understand the business processes, goals, previous practices and consumer behaviours specific to each market.

    The Information Blanket, created by Neil Powell, is a great idea for a great cause. When a consumer in North America buys a baby blanket, they simultaneously donate a baby blanket to a parent in Uganda. The blanket is imprinted with vital information for the first six months of a newborn’s life, which helps educate parents in underdeveloped areas such as Uganda. The goal is to reduce the shockingly high infant mortality rate and, over time, build infrastructure in infantile economies. After all, “Babies don’t come with instruction manuals.”

    Spark Boutik’s initial role was to manage their communities on Facebook & Twitter, to drive awareness, to build brand exposure, and to conduct PR outreach.

    Engagement:
    • Develop a complete influencer outreach program, which led to multiple features in print magazines and blogs across North America, including Babble.
    • Schedule live Twitter chats with influential dad and mommy bloggers, which was instrumental in driving awareness among the target audience. During the chats, products being auction for donation went for an excess of 4x the retail value.
